MISSION STATEMENT
The mission statement of MUM’S Weekday School is to provide quality preschool care and training to children of all races, genders, and abilities from toddler age (15 months) to age twelve. We serve children and families of the church and community by attempting to meet the wide range of physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of each child in a manner reflecting God’s love.
We are open for teacher workdays for the Alamance-Burlington school system.
During the summer, the school-age program is open 6:30 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. – Monday through Friday.
Due to our license we are unable to care for public school
pre-K children in our afterschool program.
Program closed for major holidays and as necessary to weather conditions.
MUMS Weekday School serves children 15 months to entering kindergarten and school age children from kindergarten to 12 years of age. MUMS is a 3star licensed center. Our teachers have received their degrees in Early Childhood Development and have several years of experience working with children of all ages.
OUR PURPOSE AND GOALS
MUMS Weekday School attempts to meet the wide range of spiritual, physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of each child within the framework of a warm, accepting climate in which an educational thread links all the program’s components. Our program hopes to enable a child to learn to trust adults, to feel comfortable and secure, and to have self-confidence as a beginning learner. Our teachers strive to serve as behavior models that provide learning experiences. Our program strives to provide:
- A bright, stimulating environment designed to accommodate a variety of activities
- A well-planned curriculum
- To help children enhance their self-image
- A wide range of supportive services meeting the spiritual, medical, psychological and nutritional needs of growing children and their families.
- An experienced, competent staff trained in child development and assigned in such a manner, which encourages continuing child/adult interaction.
- To provide ample opportunities for children to develop their intellectual, physical, and social skills
- To foster children’s trust in and enjoyment of other people and to teach them respect for the rights of other people
