Sunday School classes start Sunday mornings at 9:00 am
Journey:Primarily folks in their 30’s – 50’s, this class discusses a wide variety of topics in Room 212. All are welcome to join them as they seek to grow on their faith journeys through this group.
New Beginnings:Made up of “wise adults who are young at heart,” this class meets in Room 217 and studies International Adult Bible Studies with a fall themes based on Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Esther, and the Gospel Matthew. Ralph Snyder leads the class in a discussion format
The Workers Bible Class:A diverse class, meeting in Room 219 and led by Kitty Hupman, Peg Kueider, and BJ Smith, this class combines lecture and discussion as it studies a wide variety of topics. For the month of September, Peg will be doing four lessons on the aftermath of 9/11 and the impact it has had on select people over these past ten years. October promises Kitty focusing on the Old Testament. BJ will use Dr. James Moore’s Bible Stories to Warm Our Hearts in November
The Upper Room Class:Meeting in Room 220 and led by Jane Johnson, this participatory and intergenerational class will be studying “The Lord’s Prayer –Jesus Teaches Us How to Pray” this fall. It is a six week session using Jesus’ prayer as a guide and model for living into ever-deepening conversation with God.
Young Adult and Christian Parenting Class:Beginning on September 11, Michael Spradlin will lead a five week study on the world’s five major religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism). At the end of the five weeks, the participants will have an understanding of the core beliefs of each of these religions and the similarities and differences between them. All young adults, single and married, with children and without, are invited to this special series.
