Confirmation

Confirmation is the continuation of one's faith journey and the beginning of one's covenant relationship with the church. Confirmands will learn the story of their faith as told in scripture and in the history and tradition of the church. They will learn the core doctrines of Christianity and of the United Methodist Church; and they will learn spiritual practices and what it means to live a life of Christian discipleship. This a three month course that includes a weekend retreat to Camp Chestnut Ridge and culminates in a confirmation ceremony during Sunday worship service. Each confirmand is assigned an adult mentor and classes are held December - May for all 6th graders.

Our 2016 Confirmation class is pictured with their mentors as they celebrate their six month journey to claim for themselves the name Christian and the name United Methodist.
